Owen Burgess
Founder & Producer, BluGriz
I’m Owen, founder and producer at BluGriz, a film, television, and documentary production company.
BluGriz was founded on the belief that strong stories require more than technical execution—they require intention, clarity, and respect for the craft. After years of working in post-production and editing projects for nonprofits, creatives, and community-focused organizations, I became increasingly drawn to the larger storytelling process: shaping narrative, developing tone, and building projects from the ground up.
Based in Northern California, BluGriz collaborates with a trusted network of filmmakers and creatives to develop and produce original film, television, and documentary projects. Whether narrative or documentary, the work is guided by a commitment to honest storytelling and cinematic craft.
Outside of production, I’m usually on a basketball court, hiking in the Sierras, or deep in conversation with people who inspire me.
